REVIEWS...................................................................................................................................................................................................... A great CD with which to mediate and contemplate life's flow. It captures the building of a musical collaboration from high school orchestras in the 1950's to mature composition, improvisation and musicianship in 2009 when committed and trained musicians are reunited. Keyboardist and composer Jacqueline Bhuyan and innovative, internationally known solo and group concert cellist and music educator David Darling blend skills together into a reflective session of music making that is also a fine example of a sometimes multi-tracking and electronically enhanced string instrument improvising to blend perfectly into and build upon the harmonic and emotional structure of music for piano as they weave their meditative magic.......Robert W. Martin, Community orchestra bassist, former banker, Elkhart, Indiana. Have you ever been late for an appointment? You're frustrated, late, your heart is pounding. This was our state of mind when my wife, Vera, and I ran into traffic on the way to an important gathering..........."Reflections on Life's Journey" came to the rescue! We put on the CD and the relaxing, harmonious tones of Jacqueline Bhuyan's beautiful piano playing was the perfect antidote. The dance between David Darling's cello and Jacqueline's piano eased our tensions, and we were human once again..........This is not simply an "ambient soudscape" album ... these tracks follow an instrumental path that keeps harmonic and chordal interest throughout, but never fails to soothe.....Clint Goss, Manifest Spirit Records I LOVE Jackie's CD!!!! It's very beautiful music and expressive and dramatic, and so inspired! I have listened to it non-stop since yesterday. The CD cover is also incredibly well done, beautiful, amazing. Most first CDs aren't done so well and seriously with all the home studios these days. She really put a lot into this....Stephanie in Denver, Colorado Jackie, your musical pieces in "Reflections on Life's Journey" are a real treat, calms down my senses everytime I listen to them. "The Sea" does actually conjure up the image of rippling waves to the mind's eye. And it's such a rejuvenating feeling.....thank you for creating such beautiful music.".....Ankita Das, Arizona COMMENTS........Various reviews/frequent comments by audience members describe my music as being ........... "Beautiful/calming/relaxing....at times ethereal... or having a sense of mystery, .......telling a story ... cinematic ......contemplative ....... music for relaxation" AVAILABILITY Purchase at http://cdbaby.com/cd/bhuyandarling http://www.digstation.com/ArtistDetails.aspx?albumID=ALB000035499 Also AVAILABLE on: iTunes and Amazon.com Contact: jackie@foreverrubato.com Copyright 2009-2010 by Jacqueline Tschabold Bhuyan.
